Need help choosing the right news website CMS India platform?

Test the editorial lifecycle with real examples

Use a typical article, a breaking update, a translated story, and a correction. Confirm that each can be drafted, reviewed, previewed, scheduled, published, updated, and found in the archive.

Use realistic bylines, media, captions, tags, URLs, and dates. A blank demo record does not expose the errors that appear in everyday newsroom content.

Check role permissions and account changes

Repeat the same task as a reporter, editor, publisher, and administrator. Verify that users can complete their work and cannot perform actions outside their responsibilities.

Test onboarding, role changes, offboarding, password recovery, and multi-factor authentication where available. Record the person responsible for granting or removing high-impact access.

Review public pages and search details

Check mobile reading, headings, image alternatives, captions, page speed, canonical URLs, structured data, metadata, internal links, and redirects. Confirm that published article details match what appears in the CMS and the rendered page.

Submit test forms and analytics events where appropriate. Verify the article appears in the sitemap and that an editor can find it through navigation or site search.

Agree on launch acceptance and recovery

Write acceptance criteria before the final review: which workflows must pass, which issues block launch, and who signs off. Keep a list of known limitations, owners, and due dates for issues that do not block publication.

Confirm backup restoration, rollback, support escalation, and communication steps. A successful CMS test includes the plan for when a publishing task fails after launch.
