Need help choosing the right news website CMS India platform?

Choose topics with continuing reader value

Evergreen stories answer questions that remain useful after the news cycle moves on: explainers, service guides, local reference pages, and carefully maintained topic primers. Start with audience questions and newsroom expertise rather than generic pages made only to target a phrase.

Separate reference content from time-sensitive reporting in your plan. Give each page a clear reader purpose, an accountable editor, a review date, and a note describing what would make it outdated.

Make updates substantive and visible

Review names, dates, prices, laws, procedures, links, and statistics against reliable current sources. Replace expired advice, explain major changes, and update visible revision information when content meaningfully changes.

Do not change a date or rewrite a paragraph only to appear fresh. Preserve the reporting record where appropriate and disclose important corrections. If the page no longer serves readers, consolidate it carefully or retire it with a relevant redirect.

Connect guides to current coverage

Link a guide to recent reporting when that context helps readers, and link timely stories back to deeper explainers. Use descriptive anchor text and keep related links genuinely related.

Measure search impressions and clicks, engagement, return visits, newsletter signups, and reader feedback. An evergreen programme works when the newsroom improves its strongest resources instead of expanding a neglected archive.
